Backing to the Future: Two more crowdfunding campaigns pledged

When this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're going to see some serious shit.

I am a huge Back to the Future fan and 2015 - being the 30th anniversary and the setting for part 2 of the trilogy - is a big year for the franchise, so it is only natural that I would back a crowdfunding campaign for a documentary about the landmark trilogy.

However, I did not just come across one documentary project, but two...

Both projects have far exceeded their original crowdfunding targets and are still open to further pledges and support.

The future is coming back.

The Language of Hollywood: Storytelling, Sound and Colour - Film Studies MOOC Review & Reflection

I recently undertook and have now completed The Language of Hollywood: Storytelling, Sound and Color MOOC as hosted on Coursera.

My Statement of Accomplishment.

In the video below I reflect on my experience of undertaking the MOOC and discuss what I ultimately gained from that experience...

Overall, a very insightful free online course that uses some less known film examples to explore the evolving aesthetics and technologies of hollywood filmmaking. Ultimately, the entire course acts as a widely accessible overview and introduction to the study of hollywood cinema.

You can sign up for the next session on the Coursera course page.

Hair Cut & SS Great Britain - Cameos 2 & 3

I have produced two more micro films using Vimeo's Cameo app, I love this little thing.

The Cameo app, well worth a go.

The first one was adapted from 365 FRAMES 2015: Day 049, not long after posting it up it suddenly occured to me that it would work even better as a cameo...

Hair Cut - Cameo #2

On March 5th, I had a visit from my mother and we visited the SS Great Britain here in Bristol...
